The Top 3 Ways I Keep My Kids’ Immune Systems Strong
If you are a parent, then you know the struggle. Keeping kids healthy can feel like a full time job sometimes. But I’ve got great news! It doesn't have to be that way. Today I'm going to share with you the top three ways that I keep my kids healthy and their immune systems supported, especially through the winter season.
1️⃣ The Symphony of the Cells Protocol
If you know me then you know that I LOVE my dōTERRA Essential Oils. I use them for so many different things but one of my favorite things is for supporting the health of my littles in a natural way. Whenever any of my children are feeling a little under the weather, the first thing I do is reach for one of my favorite books, “The Symphony of the Cells.” This book has so many incredible protocols in it and I utilize it often. (Grab it here!) The protocol that I use for this is called “ID.” I then gather the essential oils that I will need:
🌿 Frankincense
🌿 Oregano
🌿 Thyme
🌿 OnGuard
🌿 AromaTouch
🌿 Lemongrass
🌿 Tea Tree (or Arborvitae)
🌿 Peppermint
I use a carrier oil, specifically fractionated coconut oil, and apply them down the spine as well as on the bottoms of the feet. These oils will support my kids at a cellular level and will help to boost and support the natural immune response. Just like that, my kids wake up feeling incredible the next day!
2️⃣ The Best Respiratory Support Blend
Next I want to share one of my tried and true respiratory blends that I've used for years. This works so well with any type of temporary congestion, phlegm, and respiratory pressure. I grab a 💨 Breathe Touch roller and pop off the top. (Did you know? The little roller bottle toppers can actually come off if you just kind of wiggle them out!) Then I add: 10 drops of Frankincense, 10 drops of Lime (amazing for congestion 🙌) and lastly 10 drops of my secret weapon Ravintsara. After you have supercharged your roller, simply put the top back on and shake it up.
Pro tip: use the stickers that dōTERRA sells and put them onto your Breathe roller so you know that this is your super duper strong 💪 roller. Now you have it all made up, simply take this and roll it onto your hand and massage hand over their whole chest and on their back. Bonus: you can even use it on adults too. Another option if you don't want to use your whole Breathe Touch for this, is roll it in your hand and just do a drop of each of the above oils in your palm. Rub your hands together and massage the chest and back. Voila! Easy breathing ahead!
3️⃣ OnGuard Plus Softgels
We have come to the third and final tip on how I keep my kids' immune systems supported: the OnGuard Plus softgels. If you do not already have these, get them in your home ASAP! This is a supplement that we've utilized since my kids were tiny babies. These are different because not only do they have the OnGuard Protective Blend, which is our immune supporting blend, but also contain there other powerhouse essential oils that have properties known for supporting a healthy immune system:

My kids now are at an age where they can take these internally (they are softgels remember!) But when my kids were babies, I used to take a needle and pop them and squeeze contents into a roller bottle then fill it up with fractionated coconut oil, shake it and utilize it that way. We use this anytime there's a cough, a sniffle or they're going to be around other people within close proximity. Give these a try! I promise you won’t be sorry!
