Today we are talking stress and it’s unavoidable role in our lives. Stress isn’t always a bad thing, as it can sometimes motivate us to get things done. However if left unchecked, it can consume us therefore causing a negative impact on us. So how can we help ourselves de-stress? Luckily I have just the tips! 😉
How exactly can we get our stress levels in check? Here are my favorite ways to combat the feelings of overwhelm as I notice them creeping in.
Get your breath right 💨 - Breathing is something we do all day every day and hardly ever think about. However, it can be so beneficial to calming your nervous system. Box breathing is the practice of inhaling to the count of 4, holding that breath until the count of 4, exhaling to the count of 4 and finally leaving your lungs empty until the count of 4. Repeat as many times as you need to start feeling more relaxed.
Reach for your dōTERRA essential oils 🌱 - The go to oils that are daily staples for myself and my family are: Serenity®, Balance® and Copaiba. Apply on the neck/shoulders and down the forearms or simply add these to your nearest diffuser when you feel you need to press pause.

5. Get your beauty rest 💤 - Sleep is so important to re-setting ourselves for the next day. It is important mentally as well as physically. Add essential oils to your sleep routine to help ensure you ease into dreamland and stay there! I love Cedarwood in my diffuser and to take a Serenity® softgel before bed. Try journaling or the Calm app to clear your mind as you wind down for the night.
